Election Day is in ONE WEEK!

Just a reminder that as San Mateo County voters, you have one week left to vote on Measure A, which would amend the county charter to give the Board of Supervisors the authority to remove Sheriff Christina Corpus from office “for cause, including violations of law related to the sheriff’s duties, flagrant or repeated neglect of duties, misappropriation of public funds, willful falsification of documents, or obstructing an investigation.”

If passed, the measure would be in effect until 2028. The board could appoint a replacement or call for a special election. A “no” vote keeps the current system unchanged, where elected officials can only be removed through recall. Read our Measure A explainer articles here and here.
