Born on May 26, 1924 to James and Vula Mathios. After a lengthy illness, she passed on November 25, 2022 at the age of 98 years old.
Married for over 62 years, she is reunited with her beloved husband Andrew in heaven. Madelaine enjoyed traveling with Andrew, crocheting beautiful blankets, and spending time in her garden. Madelaine is predeceased by her husband Andrew, daughters Audrey and Stephanie, and siblings Georgia Lynn and Arick. She is survived by daughter Paula Kathryn; granddaughters Madelynn McClain (Chris), Molly McClain, and Maggie Carmona (Javier); and great grandsons, Andrew and Christopher McClain and Gabriel, Diego, and Marcos Carmona. Madelaine is also survived by her sisters, Sophie Parashis and Marion Parashis, and other loving family members.
A very special thank you to her niece Stephanie Parashis for generously providing comfort, care, and love during her final years. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 10 am at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 900 Alameda de las Pulgas in Belmont. Interment will follow at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church.
