May 28, 1968 – March 13, 2023
Phannee was 54 years old when she passed away on March 13, 2023 after a courageous 4 yearlong battle with cancer.
Phannee was born on May 28th, 1968 to Chanpeng and Ondee Charoenpheng in Udon Thani, Thailand. After Phannee graduated from high school, she moved to Korat and lived with her sister Gom for 2 years. During that time, she worked in a restaurant. From Korat, she moved to Pattaya to live with her sister Jaew and worked there as a cashier.
She met her first husband, Harald Seeley, during her time in Pattaya in 1990. They married in 1991 in Phannee’s hometown of Udon Thani and moved to Phuket for 6 months. In 1992 Phannee emigrated with her husband to the US and after a short time in Calabasas settled in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is there, that in 1994 their daughter Jocelyn was born. Shortly after, June, Phannee’s niece emigrating from Thailand, joined them in Salt Lake City. In 1997 the family moved to San Carlos and later to Foster City in California. Phannee worked at Target and Marshalls before she decided to dedicate her time fully to her home and family.
Phannee met her love Ralf in Mountain View in 2000. They lived together in San Jose and San Mateo before making their home in Redwood City. When they got married in 2005, they had ceremonies in California, in Ralf’s hometown of Altenburg in Germany and in Phannee’s hometown Udon Thani in Thailand. Ralf and Phannee enjoyed lots of trips to different parts of the world and enjoyed time with family and friends. In 2008, the family welcomed twin daughters, Emmalyn and Evalyn. When Jocelyn had her own daughter Annabelle in 2011, Phannee had even more love to give. She devoted all her time to cherishing her family and raising her children. It was very important to her that all her children have a good education and try out different activities.
Phannee loved to cook and entertain. Many gatherings were held in her back yard and she made everyone feel welcome and special, even when she was already sick.
Phannee was predeceased by her father and her brother Hos. She is survived by her husband Ralf, her daughters Jocelyn, Emmalyn and Evalyn and her granddaughter Annabelle. She leaves behind her sisters and their families in Sweden and Thailand. Phannee’s mother and additional extended family continue to live in Thailand.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be happy with donations to Fight Colon Cancer https://fightcolorectalcancer.org. Donations will support patients, research and policy change.
