Looking for a poolside getaway, no overnight stay required? Hotels across the Peninsula open their pools to day guests, offering everything from casual swims to lively cabana setups with food and drink service. Pricing varies in the summer, especially on weekends, although many properties discount fees for children’s day passes.
Depending on the hotel, bookings can be made directly or through ResortPass, a platform that allows customers to reserve hotel experiences like spa services, day rooms and pool access. From budget-friendly dips to luxe lounging, there’s a pool day with your name on it.
The Ameswell Hotel, Mountain View
The Ameswell Hotel brings a sustainability-minded approach to hospitality. Its outdoor saltwater pool is heated and open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. for ResortPass guests, with showers, restrooms and towels available for use. Day passes start at $84 and include free parking and access to the 1,600-square-foot fitness center.
For food and drinks, a seasonal pool menu is available from Roger Bar and Restaurant, with items like salt roasted fries, acai bowls and Caesar salad wraps on offer, plus cocktails, wine and zero-proof drinks. Guests who book a spa service receive pool access at no additional cost on the day of their treatment.

Grand Bay Hotel San Francisco, Redwood City
Open sunrise until sunset, booking a ResortPass to the pool at Grand Bay Hotel also includes access to the fitness center. Guests also get access to towel service, complimentary Wi-Fi and free parking during their swim. Day passes are $22 per person.
A waterfront property, the pool overlooks the Redwood Shores lagoon and features patio space with outdoor fire pits to warm up after finishing a few laps. Want a bite to eat? ResortPass guests also get 10% off orders from the on-site restaurant, Waterside Grill and Lounge.

Rosewood Sand Hill, Menlo Park
Set across 16 acres in Menlo Park, Rosewood Sand Hill delivers an oasis-like retreat feel, with views of the Santa Cruz Mountains and olive tree-lined grounds. Locals can access the pool via ResortPass, with loungers, day beds and cabanas available daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Summer pricing ranges from $115-$224 for individual loungers.
Cabanas, accommodating up to four guests, range from $672-$896 and include a bottle of champagne, guacamole and chips, and chilled fruit. Day pass guests also have access to Wi-Fi and self-parking.
Poolside food and beverage service is available during operating hours, with the kitchen closing at 5 p.m. Other on-site dining spots include Bici Coffee, Madera Bar and fine-dining restaurant Madera.

Hotel Avante, Mountain View
Hotel Avante provides a low-key, budget-friendly pool day option. Day passes start at $25 via ResortPass and include access to the outdoor pool and hot tub, along with free parking and Wi-Fi.
Lounge chairs are first come, first served, and towels are not provided, so plan accordingly. Day pass holders can access the pool from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and snacks and drinks are available from the hotel’s 24-hour grab-and-go market.

Treehouse Silicon Valley, Sunnyvale
Treehouse Silicon Valley serves as a creative playground featuring thoughtful amenities and playful decor, such as a 1967 Volkswagen Beetle in the reception area. Outside, the 8,000-square-foot pool deck sits beneath a canopy of trees and includes a heated pool, hot tub, lounge seating and four cabanas.
Day passes are available Monday through Thursday at $75 per person and can be booked online or on-site, depending on availability. Pool hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and access to the fitness center can be added on for a fee. A pool pass also includes hot tub access, towels, Wi-Fi and valet parking, with lounge chairs offered on a first come, first served basis.
Food and drinks can be ordered poolside from the Backyard Café (noon to 2 p.m.) and Beer Garden (2-6 p.m.). For dinner, guests can enjoy a meal at Valley Goat, helmed by “Top Chef” winner and James Beard Award–winning chef Stephanie Izard. The hotel also hosts a variety of wellness and community events, from poolside sound baths and Vinyasa yoga to Pilates, plus pet-friendly gatherings like the monthly Paws on the Playground event.

Hotel Nia, Menlo Park
Located just off Highway 101, Hotel Nia features a contemporary design and social pool scene. Day passes start at $112, while cabanas for up to four guests begin at $504. Cabana bookings include a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck Sonoma Brut sparkling wine, a $10 food credit and two bottled waters (also included with individual passes). Guests have access to the pool and hot tub, with valet parking available for $25.
On weekends, the energy picks up with DJ sets on Fridays and Saturdays from 2-6 p.m. The pool bar operates Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., serving shareable bites, flatbreads, tacos and a mix of cocktails, low-ABV and nonalcoholic drinks. Additional dining options at Hotel Nia include Porta Blu restaurant and Verve Cafe.

Stanford Park Hotel, Menlo Park
A Menlo Park fixture, Stanford Park Hotel has been family-run since 1984 and maintains a welcoming yet refined feel. Its 50-foot outdoor pool, heated to 90 degrees year-round, is tucked into a landscaped courtyard surrounded by red brick and mature trees. Day passes start at $112 per person and are available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. They include parking, bottled water and sunscreen.
Guests can relax under the shaded loggia or order from Menlo Tavern’s all-day California-inspired menu, which includes cocktails, beer, wine and nonalcoholic options. For those looking to extend their visit, the Sip and Splash package includes an overnight stay with a $50 food and beverage credit and breakfast the next morning.

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley, East Palo Alto
For an elevated experience, Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley offers a resort-style rooftop pool on its third floor, set in a garden-like environment. The 50-foot lap pool is outfitted with cabanas, umbrellas and lounge chairs. Pool hours for ResortPass guests are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Day pass options include a chaise lounge (starting at $150 per person) with one cocktail or mocktail, or a private cabana (starting at $500 for up to four guests) with a bottle of prosecco. All bookings also include parking and Wi-Fi.
Poolside dining is available daily during pool hours ,with a menu featuring items like shrimp ceviche, beef tenderloin sandwiches and chocolate-dipped fudgesicles. Additional on-site dining includes Quattro, the hotel’s recently remodeled Italian restaurant, and the seasonal 1001 Nights pop-up featuring Middle Eastern flavors. Spa guests booking a 60-minute treatment receive complimentary pool access Monday through Thursday.
