Meet Shelby, our gorgeous grey tabby with soulful green eyes, who has been waiting far too long for her forever home. When Shelby first arrived at Nine Lives, she was in rough shape—suffering from a painful dental issue and a severe upper respiratory infection. But with the expert care and love from our dedicated team, Shelby made an incredible recovery.
Despite her transformation, Shelby has been overlooked for over 200 days. She’s watched as her shelter roommates have found loving homes, leaving her heart a little heavier each time. Shelby has blossomed in her foster homes, where she’s shown her true, affectionate nature. But when she returns to the shelter for adoption weekends, her spirits drop, and she retreats into herself, wondering why she hasn’t been chosen.
Shelby may be shy when you first meet her, but this sweet 3-year-old is just waiting for the chance to let her guard down and shower you with love. All she needs is a family to call her own, a place where she can finally feel safe and cherished.
