San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two individuals at a vehicle stop in Redwood City on Thursday, a Saturday press release states.
The deputies recovered firearms and narcotics from a vehicle on the 900 block of Fifteenth Avenue after recognizing one of the individuals for an outstanding bench warrant for a separate arrest from June of this year, according to the release. Police say he was taken into custody and then arrested for the warrant, which was related to fleeing from a traffic stop.
According to the release, the other individual in the vehicle was also taken into custody, and a search of the car revealed narcotics and another firearm with an altered serial number and an extended magazine. The pair were booked at the San Mateo County Maguire Correctional Facility, according to police.
