Update: All affected customers were safely restored by 7:42 a.m., according to a PG&E spokesperson.
According to the Redwood City Police Department, a power outage is affecting multiple intersections, leaving traffic signals inoperable. Police are asking drivers to treat all affected intersections as four-way stops and to make complete stops before proceeding.
It is unclear what is causing the power outage.
According to a PG&E spokesperson, at 5:01 a.m., an outage began impacting approximately 4,600 customers in the Redwood City area. Crews with PG&E responded and worked safely and quickly to restore power.
All affected customers were safely restored by 7:42 a.m.
The cause is under investigation, the spokesperson said.
