A room full of knives. A mysterious body. And a lineup of delightfully suspicious characters.

North Star Academy students will bring the comedic whodunit “Murder in the Knife Room” to the stage Nov. 7–9 at McKinley Auditorium in Redwood City.

The play, written by Jonathan Rand, spoofs classic murder mysteries as an investigator questions a series of offbeat suspects — with each explanation more outrageous than the last. The show features elementary and middle school students from the public magnet school in the Redwood City School District.
