A bike parking room is now open at the Caltrain Redwood City station — and parking will be half off until Nov. 15.

The 24/7 storage room is at 1 James Ave. and is monitored by cameras, according to the Caltrain BikeHub website. Bikers can use their own lock to secure their bike for up to 72 consecutive hours. The space fits up to 44 bikes and four scooters.

Parking starts at $5 for seven days and goes up to $60 for one year. However, seniors 62 and over, K-12 students, and people who are disabled and/or on Medicare may qualify for 40% off. Those who sign up by Nov. 15 can get 50% off for the year by using the code “CALTRAIN50” when they sign up on the website.

BikeHub is a nonprofit that offers bike parking, rentals, repairs and a share program. The organization also offers insurance and registration.

To gain access to Redwood City’s bike storage kiosk, sign up for a parking account online and link a Metro TAP or Clipper card to the account.
