The National Weather Service forecast for the greater San Francisco Bay Area for Thursday calls for up to 60% chances of showers with patchy fog in some areas of the region.

Daytime highs will be in the high 50s to low 60s. Overnight lows will be mostly in the low to high 40s.

Forecasters say shower activity will begin on Thursday and continue into Friday. Over the next few days, high surf, king tides, and cold temps are expected to prevail in the region.

The NWS issued a High Surf Advisory for San Francisco, the coastal North Bay, including Point Reyes National Seashore, San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Northern Monterey Bay and Southern Monterey Bay, and Big Sur Coast Counties from 7 a.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Saturday.

The North Bay Interior Valleys and shoreline counties along the immediate San Francisco Bay are also under a Coastal Flood Advisory from 7 a.m. Thursday to 4 p.m. Monday.
