FIFA World Cup 2026 is mere minutes from the start of the first match, and Silicon Valley cities and businesses are gearing up for visitors and residents alike who want to watch games and celebrate their soccer fandom.
While Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara is playing host to six games – with tickets reportedly ranging from $300 to $500 apiece – cities around the Peninsula and South Bay are hosting free watch parties on big screens and celebrating the game of soccer with special themed activities, including opportunities to play.
Meanwhile, local bars, restaurants and hotels are also screening matches, pairing them with food and drink discounts and specials. (Editor’s note: The Six Fifty does not cover the city of San Jose; for details on activities in downtown San Jose, visit sfbayareafwc26.com/bay-area-events.)

City-organized events
City of Mountain View’s Summer of Soccer: Find a month of fan-friendly festivities within city limits, including opportunities to play a “Foot Golf” soccer course at Cuesta Park June 11-July 19 (bring your own ball) or join a pickup match at the downtown mini pitch starting July 2.
Celebrate the final weekend of the World Cup with a weekend of live music, games, giveaways and screenings of the final matches in the 200 and 300 blocks of Castro Street. The new downtown entertainment zone will also be in effect that weekend, allowing visitors 21 and over to buy to-go alcoholic drinks from participating businesses and drink them within the permitted area.

Redwood City’s Soccer on the Square: Watch matches on the big screen at Courthouse Square in Redwood City select dates from June 23-July 19. Some watch parties will also include beer and wine sales, cornhole and an inflatable play area. Select days will also feature a fan zone and a youth interactive area with soccer-themed activities, lawn games, slacklines, climbing walls and more.
On June 11 from 3-5 p.m., June 20 from 1-3:30 p.m. and July 18 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Redwood City’s new pedestrian mall entertainment zone will also come to life with giant games, live music and the ability to drink to-go beer and wine purchased from restaurants and bars on the 2000 block of Broadway.

San Carlos Fan Fest 2026: Wheeler Plaza in downtown San Carlos will be converted into an outdoor viewing party area for two events bookending the World Cup on June 12 and July 19. Festivities kick off with USA vs. Paraguay June 12 at 6 p.m. and conclude with the championship July 19 at noon. The city’s website also has an interactive map featuring San Carlos businesses hosting watch parties or offering special promotions.

City of San Mateo’s Summer Soccer Celebrations: Join a live viewing of the USA vs. Türkiye match starting at 6:30 p.m. June 25, featuring family-friendly activities and crafts. The city will also host two Soccer Social pop-ups in the B Street pedestrian mall downtown from 5-8 p.m. June 12 and July 1 with sports-themed games and match day specials. The city’s website also has a list of San Mateo businesses holding events or offering discounts for the World Cup.

East Palo Alto Community Soccer Watch Party: Watch the USA vs. Paraguay match on the Los Robles-Ronald McNair Field in East Palo Alto. The bilingual event will feature food trucks, soccer scrimmages and clinics led by Ravenswood Juniors Soccer Club, a drumming workshop, halftime cultural performances and a jumbo screen. Giveaways are slated to include soccer balls, gift cards and Bay FC tickets. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.

Half Moon Bay Fun Zone and Downtown Soccer Passport: The city of Half Moon Bay will host a morning of music, dancing and soccer-themed activities before its Fourth of July parade. It’s also offering Downtown Soccer Passports at City Hall, the Ted Adcock Community Center and the Half Moon Bay Library. Visit nine participating businesses to collect stamps (no purchase necessary) through July 4 and earn a chance to win raffle prizes at the Fun Zone.

Alhambra Irish House, Redwood City and Stephens Green, Mountain View: The downtown Redwood City Irish pub has shared which games it’s showing on its website, with matches on throughout each day starting with Mexico vs. South Africa June 11 at noon. The pub has a wide selection of drinks, Irish favorites, burgers, sandwiches and salads. Its sister pub, Stephens Green, is showing all 104 matches indoors and outdoors.

Barebottle Brewing Company, Menlo Park and Santa Clara: Barebottle’s Silicon Valley taprooms will play all games with sound within regular business hours, with a special watch party experience for Team Australia planned at the Santa Clara location. Joyride Pizza will be available in Santa Clara, with Menlo Park serving its usual combination of empanadas and pizza.
Barebottle is also releasing a new Hazy IPA using hops from seven competing countries to celebrate the World Cup. Called Hoppin’ Around the World, it will hit taprooms in time for opening matches.
Reservations are highly recommended (especially for popular games), but walk-in seating will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Fiddler’s Green, Millbrae and Molly O’s, San Carlos: The sister Irish pubs are broadcasting all matches live. Both are hubs for Gaelic Football matches live from Ireland, international soccer and American sports.

Gourmet Haus Staudt, Redwood City: The German restaurant, biergarten, market and bottle shop all in one is showing all the Mexico, Germany and U.S. World Cup games starting with Mexico vs. South Africa June 11 from noon to 4 p.m.
Choose from beer, wine, cider and nonalcoholic beverages to drink during matches, with German favorites like pork schnitzel, bratwurst and Bavarian pretzels to nosh on. Find the broadcast schedule on its website.

Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, Half Moon Bay: The longtime Coastside brewery and restaurant is showing all games at its harborside location and its new sister spot downtown.

Hyatt Regency Santa Clara: The hotel neighboring Levi’s Stadium is hosting watch parties on select game days starting with the Qatar vs. Switzerland match June 13. Parties will include multiple viewing zones with and without sound and a live DJ in the courtyard. On-site parking is limited, and premium parking rates will apply. Pool cabanas can be booked for an additional cost (limited availability).

Laughing Monk Brewing, Sunnyvale and Los Altos: Laughing Monk will host World Cup watch parties at its locations in Sunnyvale – less than a mile from Levi’s Stadium – and at State Street Market in Los Altos.
In Sunnyvale, expect 36 TVs around the gastropub (including outdoors) and game audio for major matches, plus watch parties centered around games featuring the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, England, Argentina, France, Germany, Japan and Portugal. SF Samba Brazil will host watch parties June 13 from 2-10 p.m., June 19 from 5 p.m. to midnight and June 24 from 2-9 p.m. The Sunnyvale location has a full menu featuring sandwiches and burgers, pizza, salads, poke or burrito bowls and more.
In Los Altos, six additional TVs beyond the new video wall in the food hall surround the Laughing Monk bar. Laughing Monk will also serve themed cocktails like the Stars & Stripes, a layered red, white and blue vodka cocktail with pineapple and citrus, and it will open early for Argentina vs. Austria June 22 at 10 a.m. and Portugal vs. Uzbekistan June 23 at 10 a.m.
Three new soccer-inspired beers will also be available at Laughing Monk locations throughout the tournament: ¡Muchos Goles! Mexican Lager (available now), Halftime Snacks Hazy IPA (releasing June 15) and Coach Ted West Coast Double IPA (releasing June 22).

Ludwig’s Biergarten, Mountain View: The downtown Mountain View German restaurant and beer garden will show all games on three to four screens and open early for morning games (including the opening ceremony). Visit its website for a complete broadcast schedule. Take note: Ludwig’s is closed on Mondays, and as of press time staff was still deciding whether to screen World Cup games on Mondays.

Roger Bar and Restaurant, Mountain View: The Ameswell Hotel Californian restaurant and bar will screen every World Cup game and feature a special game day menu. Guests can also play a new inflatable soccer dart game.

San Agus Cocina & Cocktails, Palo Alto: The Mexican eatery will show matches during regular business hours. During games, it will offer shot-and-beer combos, tequila and mezcal specials, tequila flights and botanitas inspired by stadium and street food favorites.

State Street Market, Los Altos: The downtown Los Altos food hall is decked out with World Cup decor, 10 TVs and a huge video wall for watch parties June 11-July 19. All matches during business hours will be broadcast, and there will be extended hours for select matches. The market seats approximately 300 throughout its indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Taplands Taproom & Brewery, Santa Clara: Already a hot spot for Bay FC games, the Santa Clara taproom will show all games June 11-14, with more dates to be announced. Taplands offers 24 rotating craft beers on tap, plus craft beer bottles and cans, a small selection of wine, cider and kombucha and a menu of snacks and sandwiches.

The Patio, Palo Alto: Find every match on giant screens with sound on at the downtown Palo Alto sports bar known for its large outdoor seating area, plus a variety of food and craft cocktails, nonalcoholic drinks and beer.
Note that there’s a $25 food and beverage minimum on World Cup match days, and staff recommend leaving young children and dogs at home. Seats are first come, first served except for groups over 20.

The Pro, Palo Alto: The revitalized Palo Alto sports bar has published a schedule on its website of all games that it will show starting June 11. The schedule notes when doors will open early for watch parties and when the kitchen will serve special themed food and drinks, such as taco and margarita specials for Mexico vs. South Africa June 11 and crepes for Norway vs. Frame June 26.

‘Fútbol: The Art of the Game’: To celebrate the World Cup, the city of Santa Clara and Triton Museum of Art are hosting an exhibition from Bay Area artists with pieces that incorporate a soccer ball or a reimagination of one. All works are for sale, and all funds received will go directly back to the museum.
