Good morning, Redwood City!
Yesterday, the Redwood City Council reconvened for their first in-person meeting since before the pandemic. I've only been covering council meetings since September, and it was still a shock to see everyone in the same room together. (Virtual attendance is still available—check out the recording form last night's meeting here.)
Next week, the Redwood City Library Foundation is hosting a virtual fundraiser to celebrate the finally completed Makerspace. Located in the Downtown branch of the library, the Makerspace is a free, public space, offering everything from sewing equipment, 3D printers, and other tools, as well as a podcast studio and open space for coworking and educational programs. You can read more about the offerings here.
Speaking of openings, tomorrow San Mateo County is breaking ground on a much-anticipated Navigation Center, a big step towards its goal of zero homelessness. I'll be there at 275 Blomquist St., Redwood City at 11 a.m., so stop by and say hello if you see me!
That's all for now…more stories coming your way soon.
