The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors is seeking applicants for a position on the North Fair Oaks Community Council. Don Horsely, president of the board, made the announcement earlier this week.

The North Fair Oaks Community Council is responsible for addressing the needs of the North Fair Oaks geographic area and members serve as advisors to the board on matters that impact their jurisdiction. The issues can include advice on matters of public health, safety, welfare, public works, policy, planning, community development, program development, and services pertaining to North Fair Oaks.

Interested applicants must be either residents or business owners in the North Falls area. Any interested community member is encouraged to apply.

The Council currently holds its meetings virtually during the pandemic, Regular meetings will take place on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. and study session meetings are on the third Thursday of every other month at 6:30 p.m. at the Fair Oaks Community Center, 2600 Middlefield Road, Redwood City.
