Three vehicles were involved in a head-on collision that closed down part of Woodside Road for an hour Tuesday afternoon.
The Redwood City Police Department issued an advisory around 3:10 pm. that traffic on the road was temporarily closed to traffic "due to (a) traffic accident."
Two vehicles, which were traveling in opposite directions on Woodside Road at Middlefield Road, collided when one drifted into the other lane, according to Deputy Chief Greg DaCunha of the Redwood City Fire Department.
Two adult drivers had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life and were transported to Stanford Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to the Redwood City Police. None of the drivers were impaired, and their current condition is unknown.
Multiple emergency units responded to the scene.
"It was a more serious accident," DaCunha said.
RCPD issued an advisory that the road had reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
