The city of Redwood City is recruiting for two partial-term vacancies on its planning commission.
“We are seeking community members who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience to help shape city programs and policies,” the city stated in an email.
The planning commission consists of seven members, who are appointed by the city council for terms of four years each. The commission meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month, but may hold additional meetings.
For the available positions, one seat expires on June 30, 2024 and the other seat expires on June 30, 2026. To be eligible to serve on the planning commission, candidates must be:
- Eighteen years or older
- Eligible to vote
- A resident of incorporated Redwood City
- Must not hold any other public office or position in the city
The application period is now open and will close on Feb. 28. Interviews with the city council will be held during a special meeting in March.
