Happy Friday, Redwood City.
Time to get your compost sorted! Throughout the month of August, the City will conduct "route reviews" of residential and commercial garbage, recycling, and compost cart/bin contents. The annual reviews are required statewide under State Bill 1383, to assess contamination levels of each of the waste streams. The goal is to keep waste streams clean and increase what is recycled and recovered, because much of the material currently going to local landfills is material that could have been composted instead.
