Restaurant closure

Cuisinett Bistro & Market closed after a final day of business in downtown San Carlos on Saturday, Nov. 25.  Owner Geoffroy Raby wrote in a message posted to the restaurant’s Instagram that the lease had reached its end and that he had received "an offer to buy the location." He added that the new restaurant would replace Cuisinett starting Dec. 1. Read more on this here

Animal tracks

In her recent blog, Alice Kaufman focuses on the shared use of hiking trails by humans and wildlife in local nature preserves. She explains that animals, particularly large mammals, use these trails for easier movement and better visibility. But, human presence can disrupt wildlife, causing them to alter their behavior or avoid certain areas. Kaufman emphasizes the importance of minimizing human impact when constructing new trails.
