Good morning, Redwood City!
Redwood City is set to see the opening of two new cannabis dispensaries this weekend. MMD, an established California cannabis brand, and Airfield Supply Company, a significant player in the cannabis retail market, are expanding their presence into Redwood City with stores on Broadway Street and Whipple Avenue, respectively. MMD is scheduled to open its doors on Friday, Dec. 15, at 1764 Broadway St., and Airfield Supply Company will open its Redwood City location at 928 Whipple Ave. at noon on Monday, Dec.18. More on this story here.
In a lawsuit filed in Alameda County, Fr. David Ghiorso of St. Matthias Parish and St. Charles Parish in San Carlos faces accusations of child abuse, while the San Francisco Archdiocese defends his innocence, highlighting what it believes are the detrimental impact of media coverage on his and other priests' reputations. That story can be found here.
