A Redwood City man charged with the rape of a 19-year-old woman at a house party is scheduled to begin trial Friday, January 12, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office.
Joshua Meyers, 22, is accused of raping a woman while she was unconscious at a party Meyers was hosting in August of 2021. Police investigation revealed that Meyers allegedly told several people that the woman had been inebriated and he had sex with her. Meyers is also accused of sending an explicit video of the victim while she was unconscious, according to the DA's Office.
Meyers is charged with four felonies, which include rape, assault with intent to commit rape- felony and false imprisonment. He is out of custody on $110,000 bail, according to the DA's Office. He faces 15 years in prison.
