The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA’s Pet of the Week is Nutmeg.
Nutmeg is a lovely young sulcata tortoise looking for his new forever home. Although he is small now, his species is the 3rd largest tortoise species in the world. Sulcata tortoises can grow to weigh as much as 200 pounds and live over 100 years! Nutmeg is looking for someone who has some experience with his species and can provide him with enough space to roam and graze safely as he grows. Sometimes slow and steady wins the race, but if you think Nutmeg sounds like a match for you, why not dash on over to meet him?! You just may be rewarded with a new forever friend.
