Two people were arrested, and about 20 pounds of meth were seized in a traffic stop on Tuesday, according to the Redwood City Police Department.

About 7:00 p.m., officials said, a 52-year-old Redwood City man and a 41-year-old Oakland man were stopped near Fifth Avenue and Spring Street in Redwood City. While officers were investigating the car, a 37-year-old Redwood City man backed a white truck into a police car and fled the scene.
The 37-year-old was cited for the hit-and-run and released. Two others were cited for interfering with the investigation, but their involvement remains unclear and their names have not been released to the public.
Later on Tuesday, police found three more pounds of meth at a residence in the 100 block of Broadway in Redwood.
Both were arrested for possession of meth for sale, transporting meth and conspiracy to commit a felony. They were held at the San Mateo County Maguire Correctional Facility.
Editor’s Note: The Redwood City Pulse’s policy is to withhold the names of those arrested for most crimes until the District Attorney has determined there is sufficient evidence to file charges in the case.
