Construction at the Redwood City Caltrain station will affect some southbound platform access from Monday, May 25, Memorial Day, through Tuesday, June 9, according to Caltrain.

During the work, the station’s Throne restroom will be temporarily unavailable. Bike lockers, ADA parking stalls and the wheelchair lift will be temporarily relocated, and some accessible walkways will be affected. Riders are asked to stay within marked pedestrian routes and follow posted signs.

The Redwood City station is at 1 James Ave at Sequoia Station by Safeway.

The work comes as Caltrain continues to face broader financial uncertainty, including a projected budget shortfall that could lead to future service cuts if new regional funding is not approved.

Separately, the San Mateo County Transit District, which serves Caltrain, SamTrans and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority, has relocated its headquarters to Gateway at Millbrae Station, 166 N. Rollins Road in Millbrae, effective June 1.
