Following the retirement of Chris Beth, the long-serving Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services, Redwood City has appointed Derek Wolfgram as Interim Director.
Wolfgram, who presently holds the position of Library Services Director, will evaluate the department’s services to ensure they meet the community’s changing needs, according to a city news release.
Meanwhile, Sarah LaTorra, division manager for customer experience, will assume the role of Interim Library Services Director during this transition period.
City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz expressed confidence in Wolfgram’s ability to lead during the transition, citing his extensive management experience and commitment to community service.
These appointments are expected to last through the end of the year as the city evaluates its long-term leadership needs.
