A man was struck and killed by a driver as he was walking across the intersection of El Camino Real and Broadway in Redwood City around 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4.
The victim, Joe Ragsdale, 69, a Redwood City resident, according to the San Mateo Coroner’s Office.
Redwood City Police Department public information officer Nick Perna said Ragsdale was transported to Stanford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“At this point, there is nothing that indicates that the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian was under the influence of anything and is cooperating with the investigation,” Perna said.
