A 21-year-old Redwood City man was arrested on Wednesday after police said he fired shots at a car with two people inside.

The event occurred late in the evening on March 6, around 11:30 p.m., on the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue near El Camino Real in Redwood City.

According to Redwood City police officers, two individuals inside the targeted vehicle reported to police that an assailant had fired at them, resulting in their car being hit three times, with two of the shots close to the driver’s compartment.

Neither of the occupants was hit, and the suspect was gone when the police arrived.

On Wednesday, April 3, Redwood City police officers executed an arrest warrant at the suspect’s house and found a Glock 27 .40 caliber, the gun that was allegedly used in the shooting.

The suspect was booked into the San Mateo County jail in connection to the shooting and other charges, according to police.
