San Mateo County Supervisor Lisa Gauthier is asking residents and local nonprofits to weigh in on how to spend millions in Measure K sales-tax revenue across District 4, which includes East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Redwood City.
Through a series of community meetings this fall, participants will have the opportunity to share their priorities for how the district’s share of discretionary Measure K funds should be used, from housing and child care to public safety and social services.
Gauthier, who recently co-hosted a county town hall on child care, said she hopes these sessions will give residents a voice in deciding how the money is spent.
The first meeting is scheduled for Oct. 15 at the Redwood City Downtown Library, with additional sessions taking place through Dec. 16 in Menlo Park, Redwood Shores, North Fair Oaks, and East Palo Alto.
