Flamingo flocking season has returned to Redwood City.
The Redwood City Woman’s Club is once again placing flocks of flamingos in yards around town from May 18 to 31. Residents can request a flock for a family member, friend or anyone in need of a flamboyant celebration.
Each flock includes 15 lawn flamingos, including one fully dressed lead bird, and remains in place for two nights. Pickup is automatic and free.
Special occasion flockings are available year-round for events such as graduations, anniversaries, birthdays and new babies.
Flockings are by donation, with proceeds supporting the preservation of the club’s historic landmark clubhouse.
