Over 3,500 customers are experiencing a power outage as of 10:20 a.m. Friday, May 22, following a vehicle collision in Menlo Park at Ravenswood Avenue and Laurel Street, according to the Menlo Park Police Department. Police advise the public to avoid the area. 

PG&E spokesperson Tamar Sarkissian told this news organization that the majority of its customers had their power restored as of 11:55 a.m. For the remaining 378 customers, PG&E’s outage map estimates power will be restored by 2:15 p.m. 

Neighborhoods impacted include North Fair Oaks, Felton Gables, Central Menlo Park and Linfield Oaks.

The outage also affected community facilities at Burgess Park. Menlo Swim and Sport announced that Burgess Pool will be closed until power is restored, and many downtown business had posted temporary closure signs in their windows.
